RESERVATIONIST

Responds to communications from guests, travel agents, and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by telephone, computer, fax, or through a central reservation system. Creates and maintains reservation records-usually by date of arrival and sends letters of confirmation. Promptly processes any cancellations and modifications. Additional duties may include preparing the list of expected arrivals for the front office, assisting in preregistration activities when appropriate, processing advance reservation deposits and assisting Sales Manager with group reservations.

Places guest and room information in the appropriate front desk racks, and communicates this information to the appropriate hotel personnel. Works closely with the housekeeping department in keeping room status reports up to date and coordinates requests for maintenance and repair work. Maintains guest room key storage, and maintains and supervises access to safe deposit boxes. Must be sales-minded. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices. Knows the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.

NIGHT HOUSEMAN

Breakfast/LUNCH BACKWAITER

Primary shifts are offered in breakfast at The Cabin Grill with additional overflow employment available in Delta Blue if need be.  Greeting of all guests arriving/departing. Clearance of tables after guests are finished eating. Transfer of tableware to dishroom and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing, promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths. Check floor, cleaning as required and resetting tabletop. Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate them to server as needed. Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service. Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods. Ideals should align with fellow staff members on the focus of overall restaurant functionality while remaining customer service orientated. No previous restaurant experience required. Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests. Be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

Line COOK

Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards. Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs. Assist Executive and Sous Chef in ensuring that all products are ordered and in good quality. Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures. Assist in the training of new kitchen personnel. Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours). Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.

AM HOST/CABIN GRILL

Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival. When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant. When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party. Provide guests with estimated waiting time. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations. Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. Assist backwaiters and servers by relaying messages to and performing duties requested upon by guest. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. No previous restaurant experience required. Be able to working in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours). BARTENDER

Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for our guests. Take beverage orders from guests and servers. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes. Learns the names and personally recognize our regulars. Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register system. Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable). Wash and sterilize glassware. Prepare garnishes for drinks while maintaining bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Clear and reset tables in bar area. Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas. Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar. Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager. Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor. Must be 21 years of age. Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests. Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes. Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
